To diversify their cultural leisure in the beautiful canadian city of Montreal, you can visit the famous arts Centre (literal translation - the arts Square) is the main centre for the performing arts of Montreal and the largest cultural complex in Canada.

Arts centre located in the Eastern part of Montreal, in the so-called Quarter circuses (restricted streets Sainte-Catherine, Jeanne-mance, Saint-Urbain and Boulevard Maisonneuve), and is a complex of different buildings, where residents and guests can enjoy theatrical and dance performances, Opera, ballet, music and visual arts. The initiator of the arts Centre was a big fan of Opera - mayor Jean Drapeau. The first part of the complex is the Big Hall was opened in September 1963 (today known as Hall Wilfrid Pelletier, in honor of the famous head of the Montreal Symphony orchestra). A few were added later - Theatre Maisonneuve (1967), Theatre Jean-Duceppe, the Studio Theatre and Cinquième Salle. The Esplanade in front of the complex is one of the main outdoor venues for the annual Montreal international jazz festival.
