Baška is a well-known and very popular tourist centre on the biggest Adriatic island - Krk. It is located in a cultivated valley surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is famous for its beach vacation. Beach Head was awarded the European Blue flag is a sign of intact nature, the purity, the environment and the high international standards of environmental protection.

This district was discovered one of the most important monuments of the Glagolitic alphabet in the mid-19th century - was found Bašćanska plate, named from the name of Baška.

In the centre of the village is the famous Aquarium of the Head, it occupies an area of about two hundred square meters. Twenty large aquariums contains more than hundred species of fish of the Adriatic sea and more than four hundred species of mussels and snails in conditions close to natural.

Near Baska, in the vicinity of the village of Rudine located cave Biserujka. The entrance is a simple hole in the ground. According to legend, here the smugglers hid treasure - pearl. Hence the name of the cave: "beads" in Croatian means a pearl. Researchers gradually expanded the narrow cave passages, and electricity is conducted later greatly aroused the interest of visitors to this place.
