The Dominican monastery was founded at this place in the XIII century. It was repeatedly reconstructed and the present complex of buildings made in the Baroque style. The main attraction of the monastery - the Central crucifix and a fresco on the wall above the main altar, made by Paolo Veneziano.

In the monastery Museum houses the works of masters Dubrovinsky and the Venetian school of painting in XIII-XVII centuries, including painting of Lovro Dobrichovice "Baptism of Christ" (mid XV century) and religious objects, jewels and vestments of clergy.

In the part of the Dominican monastery, where in the XV century. there was a chapel of St. Sebastian is the gallery "Sebastian". It exhibits the work of contemporary artists.
