In 1520 the city's Senate decided to build a Church in gratitude to God for saving me from the earthquake. Surprisingly, she was one of the few buildings that survived, and following the terrible earthquake of 1667, and therefore stands in its place and still is in effect. The facade of the Church decorated with splendid Gothic window-rose.

Near the Church square is the Large Onofrio's fountain once supplied the entire city with water. The fountain was designed and built by Onofrio della cava in the middle of the XV century.
