Church of the assumption of the virgin Mary and St. Peregrina is located on the main square in Umag. Here visitors can see a large number of relics and artifacts testifying to the rich history and traditions of the city of Umag.

Magnificent landscape of white stone, erected on the tower of the Church of the assumption of the virgin Mary, was originally located on the city hall building destroyed in a fire in 1924, after which the sculpture depicting the symbol of the Venetian Empire - the famous lion, was moved.

The facade is a small two-storey building of the Church is decorated with six columns and stone details and an oval shape, and over the main entrance is a massive relief arch. The Church's bell tower with mounted vintage clock reaches about thirty feet in height.

From the bell tower offers scenic views of the city and the nearby Navy pier. Everyone can climb up through a small wooden door located in one of the walls of the bell tower. From the top you can admire the city from the belfry of the bell tower, decorated with two stone arches with carved elements. You can also relax in the cosy street cafe located opposite the entrance to the Church.
