In the city of Kemi is located Evangelic Lutheran Church, built in neo-Gothic style by the project of Josef Stenbeck in 1902. The building, made of red brick, not only attracts the eyes with its beauty, but roomy enough to 1,000. A large crucifix inside the Church is impressive.

Great acoustics allows visitors to fully enjoy concerts of spiritual and classical music are held here throughout the year. Outside the Church there is a huge war memorial. The bell tower of the Church serves as a good landmark for local residents and sailors.

In 2003. Church in Kemi was renovated and opened to worshipers and tourists all year round.
