The infantry Museum was founded in 1982. It contains a rich collection of objects belonging to the infantry, as well as information on the activities and development of the infantry units of the army since the beginning of the XVIII-th century. Up to the present day.

The Museum is located in two buildings on the site of the old barracks. Exhibition area of 2000m2 includes a wide variety of exhibits, including military equipment.

The exhibition includes a collection of 151 photographs of soldiers awarded with Mannerheim Crosses and medals.

The exhibition tells of the soldiers ' lives on the battlefield and in peacetime garrisons and on training grounds.
