The Church of St. Paul located at some distance from the town centre of hyères, founded in antiquity. It is located in the South of France, in the Provence - Alpes - Cote d'azur.

The Church itself is located on a hill - it leads to an ancient staircase, Dating back to ancient times. The temple was built in the XII century, but greatly enlarged in the XV century and therefore represents a mixture of two different styles - Romanesque and late Gothic. Especially notable is the long, monumental, nave, supported by buttresses, the walls of which done by the graceful long Windows, is a Prime example of the flamboyant Gothic style.

The main portal of the temple was completed later in Renaissance style and was completed in the years 1787-1789, exactly on the eve of the French revolution. As for bell, it is a powerful square structure has been preserved from the XII century. Interestingly, it is not crowned with any exquisite or carved spire - this Romanesque tower ends just outside.

An important detail of the interior of the Church is its collection of thanksgiving plates, plates and notes, preserved from the XVI century - since the war with the Huguenots. Now they devoted a separate exhibition held in this Church. And, according to legend, in the Saint-Paul Church in hyères is stored the treasure of the knights Templar. However, no underground hiding places had not yet been discovered.

In 1992 the St. Paul Church in hyères was recognized as a monument of history and culture of France. Now she is under the protection of the state.
