Collegiate Church Saint-Salvi is the name of the Saint, who during his life was a very remarkable man. Salvi Albigensian lived in Albi in the VI century and was the first Bishop of the city. When the second half of the VI century the city was captured by the Duke of Mammal, Salvi paid the ransom for planninig citizens. The Duke of Mummy was so impressed by the act of a Bishop that he returned the money. And Salvi won among the Albigensian honor and respect. In 584, the year in Albi outbreak of plague, and Calvi became one of its victims.

In the X century in honor of Salvia Albigensian Church was built with a crypt is an underground chapel in which the relics of the Saint. The crypt and is now under the altar, and the Church itself stands on top of a hill, next to the main Cathedral of Albi - the Cathedral of St. Cecilia.

During the French revolution the Church was used as a warehouse of feed grains in the nineteenth century, worship services resumed. In the courtyard of the Church you can see remains of a stone gallery, which was part of a monastery, destroyed during the revolution.

In the Church you can see the only extant sculpture of the Holy Salvia in the form of painted wooden figurines made in XII century. In the XVIII century the Church was set on the wizard Christoph Musarella, which now experts called one of the best bodies in the world.
