The Palace (House) of the festivals of Baden-Baden is the largest structure of this assignment in Germany — the Opera house and at the same time a concert hall. For the first time, the festival House with a capacity of 2.5 thousand spectators, opened its doors in mid-April 1998.

Very unusual design of the complex of theater buildings on the site of the former railway station was created in the mid-90s, a famous German architect Wilhelm Holzbauer. A converted old railway station in neo-classical style became the theatre foyer and forms a single organic ensemble with a modern structure in the shape of a large cube. The auditorium is made of marble and glass and built on the site of the former platforms of the station. Rooms feature excellent acoustics, thanks to the calculations of physicist Karlheinz müller.

The Palace is annually held five regular events - festivals of the Trinity, as well as Winter, Autumn, Summer and Easter (2012). House festivals and tours many international celebrities: Anne-Sophie mutter, Placido Domingo, Daniel Barenboim, Thomas Hampson, Kent Nagano, James Levine. A troupe of ballet dancers of Mariinsky theatre come here on tour a few times a year. Palais des festivals to attend the concert program of classical music, jazz music nights, and various entertainment shows. The entry of well-known productions of Wagner's operas "Lohengrin" and "Parsifal" were in the House of the festivals, immediately carried out the shooting of TV programs and live broadcasts.
