House of the Golden Rose is one of those buildings of Aachen, which have been preserved thanks to the efforts of the townspeople. Being built in the square, where once fish was sold, originally it had a single storey form and met the strict principles of the Renaissance that were viewed in all its form. So, the façade was made from a combination of brick and wood and not stand out from the overall architecture of the Fischmarkt. 1353 1413 years, the building was used as a dining room, and nearby was built a Gothic Cathedral.

House of the Golden Rose, was built in the 14th century, since then it was repeatedly destroyed, the fires and the war did not spare him. But every time was the architect who restored it with accuracy, and in addition, makes it even more beautiful: in 1656 was completed the full reconstruction after the great fire that burned the house almost completely. It was made add-in, and the building rushed up.

Today this three-story building is the boutique hotel. Since 1984, House of the Golden Rose is a listed historical monument.
