Old city Hall: a photo, a description (Altes Rathaus)

In the Central square of the Old town is the Old town Hall. The building was built in the late XV century, but was badly damaged during the Second world war and was almost completely rebuilt.

A special highlight is the main hall of the town Hall (sometimes called the ballroom) with a magnificent wooden ceiling, decorated with wooden frieze. On the frieze are visible 87 coats of arms, made by masters in the late fifteenth century.

Four floors of the building is the Toy Museum. Here you can find a huge collection of dolls, toy trains, Teddy bears and carousels.
