Albertinum - the former Royal Arsenal, rebuilt in 1880 in neo-Renaissance style by Karl Adolf Chancellor today it houses several museums, including the art gallery, which is based on the collection of Bernard von Lindenau, donated to the city. The name gallery was named in honor of king albert of Saxony.

Here rich collection of works of the period of romanticism, realism, and works in the style of Biedermeier; French, Polish, Hungarian and Belgian painting XIX century, the work of the German expressionists and Impressionists. Here you can see the work of Lovis Corinth and max Liebermann, Edgar Degas and Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh and Edouard Manet.

In Albertinum you can see the collections of sculptures, coins, stamps, prints, drawings, and graphics by European artists of XV-XX centuries and many other interesting exhibits world cultural heritage of mankind.
