The Church of St. Peter is very close to the Marienplatz. It is the oldest Church in the city. The present Church dates from the XIV century and was heavily rebuilt in the XVII century, but had been standing Christian Church.

The architectural style of the building combines elements of Baroque and late Gothic. The interior of the Church is made in Baroque style: majestic choirs, magnificent decorations of the main altar, gilded chair, painted ceiling and dome.

The height of the bell tower of the Church is 91 meters. Popularly it is called "Old Peter". It is a viewpoint with a magnificent view over Munich.
