Berlin Cathedral: photos, description (Berliner Dom)

The Cathedral was built in the years 1883-1905 in the style of the Italian Renaissance. It consists of a Central part surmounted by a large dome and two wings with chapels. The height of the Central nave is 98 meters.

In the crypt of the Cathedral are 95 sarcophagi with the remains of the kings and princes of the Hohenzollern dynasty. The Cathedral was badly damaged during the war. Its restoration completed in 1993 with some simplifications - dismantled Memorial chapel of the Hohenzollern.

The Cathedral often hosts concerts, including organ, as there are great acoustics.
