Hospital St. Spirit: photos, description (Heilige-Geist-Hospital)

Hospital St. Spirit - the best of the surviving medieval buildings of this kind in Central Europe. The hospital was built in 1280 on donations of the merchants of lübeck and can accommodate 170 elderly and poor people. In his capacity as the building he worked until 1970. In one part of the complex is now a small shelter.

In the Western part of the hospital is the hospital Church, built in 1286, decorated with frescoes of the XIV century, "Christ and the Madonna on the throne", "Almighty God" and the late Gothic carved altar pieces.
