Agios Georgios

Agios Georgios - a small coastal town in the North-Western part of the Greek island of Evia (Euboea), about 150 km from the administrative center of the island city of Chalcis and 2.5 km from the town of Lihada, the port which it actually is.

Quite often in the guidebooks referred to as the settlement of Agios Georgios Ligados. Founded in the early 20th century and former up to 1970-ies a small fishing village, today Agios Georgios is considered one of the best resorts on the island and has a well-developed tourist infrastructure. It is also one of the most beautiful places in Evia.

Agios Georgios is blessed with beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea, the incredible beauty, covered with dense forest mountains, a picturesque promenade with many cozy restaurants, taverns and cafes, good choice of hotels and apartments, plenty of opportunities to diversify their leisure and, of course, the atmosphere of genuine cordiality and hospitality of local residents.
