Geological Museum: a photo, a description (Geological Museum)

The geological Museum of Budapest is the main Museum of Geology in Hungary. It is located on Stephanie street in the Western part of pest.

The Museum building was designed by Odon Lechner in 1896 and originally belonged to the Hungarian geological society, which was established in 1869, the year. The Statute on its establishment was signed by Franz Joseph.

The geological collection of the Museum consists of minerals, prehistoric casts, contains General information about Geology and its history, and the exhibition dedicated to the architect of the building, Odon Lechner.
