The SAS-mountain natural reserve: photo description (Sashegy)

The SAS-mountain natural reserve - part of the Danube-Polskogo national Park. An area of 30 acres (120,000 m2) on the top of the hill was placed under protection in 1958. It was one of the first nature reserves of Hungary. First and foremost, the state and society were concerned with its unique landscapes of limestone rocks and unique flora and fauna. From the top of a hill (257 m) a breathtaking panorama of the Seredyno castle, the gellért hill and the urban areas. Park service maintains a visitors ' Centre and the ring railway with a length of 2350 m, which introduces visitors to the most important natural attractions of the reserve.
