Martin Ferenc a sculptor , painter, graphic artist and Illustrator was a prominent figure of contemporary Hungarian art of the 20th century. This influential artist, founded his own school of art and was active in social activities in the South - Transdanubian art community.

Before the Second world war Martin Ferenc lived many years in Paris and travelled across Western Europe: he was acquainted with many famous artists-contemporaries and ran in the same circles of artists, who actively supported the most recent avant-garde of the time. After the war he became one of the most important and prominent adherents of the movement of abstract art in Hungary.

In 1974 in PECs was opened a Museum, which exhibited art objects passed to Martin Ferenc for the city. Catalog of its artistic heritage, edited by the author of the monograph about the artist eve Hars was published in 1985. Died Martin Ferenc 10 APR 1986 in PECs.
