Shoes on the Danube promenade memorial, which belongs to the famous Director Ken Togay and realized by sculptor Gyula Power on the Danube river in Budapest. It is dedicated to the memory of Jews who were shot by militants of the Hungarian Nazi Party arrow cross in Budapest during world war II. On the night of 8 January 1945 punitive brigades with drawn bayonets broke into the house on the embankment of the Danube and take people out on the street. The victims of the massacre were ordered to line up on the edge of the embankment and to remove your shoes.
