The minoriten Church: photo description (Paduan St Antony Church of Minorite order)

Minorite Church in Eger in the Central square of the city - the dobó square is recognized as one of the most beautiful Baroque churches not only of Hungary but of the whole Central Europe and is a unique monument of architecture and history of the state. The Church was built in 1773 by the Franciscans of the Minorite and consecrated in honor of St. Anthony of Padua.

Minorite Church in Eger is a best example of the dominant architectural style: dynamic facade is decorated with two bell towers with a clock, which three times a day announce the city chime: eleven, fifteen and eighteen hours. In the temple you can see frescoes of the late sixteenth century, and the majestic statue of St. Anthony.
