Nervi is a former fishing village 7 km from Genoa, and now is a resort area, which became part of the city. It is located at an altitude of 25 meters above sea level. Today, this small settlement is surrounded by olive, orange and lemon groves and built a luxurious, blending into the colors of the villas. The climate here is humid, more pleasant than the nearby Riviera di Ponente, which is part of the Italian Riviera West of Genoa. It is particularly suitable for those who suffer from lung disease.

In Nervi is home to several interesting museums, not deprived of attention of tourists. In addition, Nervi has a beautiful Park, spread over an area of 9 hectares and consists of the gardens of Villa Grimaldi, Villa, Rapallo and Villa Serra. The Park has typical Mediterranean vegetation and many exotic species of trees and flowers. It adjoins the gardens of Villa Luxoro, which now houses the Museum, and Villa Gnecco, transformed into a luxury hotel.
