Palazzo Comunale in Modena - the architectural complex of the 17th century, consisting of a number of buildings that were built for different purposes. The unifying element of the main façade - long portico with marble columns, which connects the outer part of the building. Built in the style of the 17th century under the supervision of architect Raffaele Rinaldi, Palazzo was built in several stages and was finally completed in 1825, the year when the five arches on the right side of the building was added three more. Camerino dei Confirmati room, decorated in 1770, the year the Carbonari, Giuseppe and Girolamo of Annuli, remains one of the main symbols of the city - "Secchia Rapita" ("the Stolen bucket"). Another interesting room of Palazzo del Vecchio, Hall of the Consiglio, the arches of which are decorated with Bartolomeo Schedoni and Ercole del Abate in the early 17th century. This room is connected with Hall degli Arazzi (Hall of tapestries). This room is decorated with paintings of the 18th century, skillfully imitating the French tapestries, is the work of Girolamo of Annuli. These paintings represent the episodes of the peace Treaty that ended the dispute between the cities of Northern Italy by Frederick Barbarossa.

From the audience degli Arazzi the door you can get into the Hall of dei matrimoni (Wedding hall), which houses paintings Adeodato Malatesta and Francesco vaccari.
