Torri del Benaco is a small town with a population of about 3 thousand people, located on the Veronese shores of lake Garda at the foot of Monte Baldo. Surrounded by pine forests, olive groves and lemon greenhouses, it is known as the Olive Riviera. Is 45 km far from Rovereto and 40 km from Verona. To get to Torri del Benaco by the Eastern highway Gardesana or on one of the many ferries.

The first people on the territory of modern Torri del Benaco appeared in the second Millennium BC and the remnants of pile dwellings and cave paintings on the mountain Monte Baldo, with the scenes from everyday life. Like other cities of the lake Garda, after the fall of the Roman Empire Torri was captured by the Goths, and later by the Lombards, and in the 10th century by the Franks. Probably, for this reason, in the year 905 the king of Italy of Berengaria I ordered to surround the town with strong walls and build Towers Berengaria, the ruins of which are visible to this day. For a long time the economy of Torri was in a state of stagnation that forced many locals to leave the city. However, in the 1920-ies, when it was built the highway Gardesana started climbing. Today the main sector of the local economy is tourism.

Torri del Benaco - this is probably one of the few cities of lake Garda, which is largely intact to preserve its historical centre. In the forests surrounding the town, you can walk around trails or ride your mountain bike on the slopes of Monte Baldo. For adventurers opened several climbing routes.
