Villa del Balbianello, famous for its carefully planned the hanging gardens, located at the tip of a small wooded Peninsula on the Western shore of lake Como, near the Comacina island and the town of Lenno.

The Villa was built in 1787, on the site of Franciscan monastery for cardinal Angelo Maria Durini. To our days have survived the two towers, the former bell tower of the monastery Church.
