Park named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the Central Park of the city of Aktobe, located along the Avenue Abulkhair Khan. The total Park area is 42 ha. In the years of Soviet power the city Park was named after V. I. Lenin, however, with independence in the 90s it was renamed the Park named after Abai.

The idea of renaming Central Park in honor of the first Kazakh President was when Professor Z. baydosov took the initiative to give President Nursultan Nazarbayev lifetime presidential term. The company informed Z. baydosov also proposed to rename in honor of the President located in the Boulevard of Unity and Accord.

In 2010, the Park was reconstructed. According to official data, its reconstruction has spent more than $ 1 billion. During the reconstruction works in the Park were planted different species of trees and flowers, and in its centre was set the highest in the country the flagpole, with a height of 91 m, and an artificial pond. All sidewalks in the Park were paved. The second solemn opening of Aktobe Park after reconstruction was held in September 2010, the day of the visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Aktobe.
