Around Bratislava is full of villages, interesting from a tourist point of view. 12 km from the Slovakian capital at the foot of the Small Carpathian mountains is a cozy village Marianka, famous all over the country that there is the Basilica of the Nativity of the virgin Mary - one of the oldest preserved churches in the territory of Slovakia.

It was established by the founder of the Church and ruler of the state of the Hungarian king Ludovit I. Church of the Nativity of the virgin Mary was erected in 1377-1380 years in gratitude to the Lord for victory over the Turks. The original Gothic Church was reconstructed in Baroque style during the reign of the Emperor Leopold.
