The Aquarium Of Palma

The aquarium of Palma, opened in 2007, the year in Palma de Mallorca, is today one of the most popular tourist attractions of the city. The first stop in this journey is the acquaintance with the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean sea with its sea stars, lobster, bet, shrimp, stingrays, octopus, seaweed and coral. Some of the inhabitants of this section can be touched in a special pool.

Section tropical seas consists of 25 reservoirs, where you can see clown fish, ray-finned fish, reef sharks and colourful corals. By the way, the Aquarium of Palma is one of the few in the world, implementing its own program on the reproduction of corals.

Europe's largest aquarium with the sharks - "Big Blue" - reaches a depth of 8.5 meters and is 33 meters long and 25 meters wide. It inhabits a gray 6 sand sharks, 5 blue gray sharks and over 1000 fish. Children from 6 to 16 years can participate in spetsalno program, which includes an overnight stay next to the tank to be able and night watching the amazing predators. Another separate tank contains about 50 jellyfish, typical of the Mediterranean sea.

On the territory you can also find a special zone with typical Mediterranean plants and tanks with turtles, koi carp, Golden spar and stingrays.
