The archaeological and Ethnographic museums

Near Konak square, the Archaeological Museum has a rich collection of antiquities found in the majority during the excavations of Pergamon. In the Museum's courtyard you can see a lot of amphoras, columns and capitals. On the first floor collected marble statues of Poseidon, Demeter and Artemis, and ancient sarcophagi. On the second floor are items of pottery, glass art, ceramics and objects from the bronze age.

The collection of the Ethnographic Museum, located opposite the Archaeological comprise the items of folk art, including carpets of Bergama and Gordes, traditional costumes and fabrics, camel bridles, copper products. On the first floor of the Museum you can see recreated interiors of the Ottoman house, the old pharmacy, a printing house.
